Vision

Hope on Wheels is Rahe ILM’s ambitious new initiative to empower children with special needs in Pakistan through a mobile food truck enterprise.
As Rahe ILM continues to expand its mission beyond classrooms, this project represents the organization’s next step: turning education into independence. By combining compassion, creativity, and community support, Hope on Wheels will give special needs students the opportunity to learn, work, and thrive – not in isolation, but in full view of society.
Backed by youth-led events, community donation drives, and U.S.-based fundraisers, our Food Truck Program in Pakistan will provide Rising Sun Institute graduates with paid, real-world experience, practical money skills, and the confidence that comes from mastering meaningful work.
The goal of our Hope on wheels Project is transformative: to shift perceptions of special needs children from “a burden” to “capable and valued” by creating visible pathways to employment and independence. As students earn and contribute, they strengthen their integrity, self-worth, and social inclusion; laying the foundation for long-term independence. This initiative is being conceived as a partnership between Rahe ILM and the Rising Sun Institute (RSI).

About the Project

How It Works

The food truck will serve as a mobile classroom on wheels – where learning meets livelihood. Students will help prepare, cook, package, and sell food items to local communities, while learning the fundamentals of teamwork, communication, and responsibility.

Raise & Equip

Rahe ILM collects funds for the truck, kitchen equipment, branding, and safety gear. Each contribution helps us equip differently-abled youth

Setup & Training

Teachers and staff from partner institutions (RSI) will train students in cooking, hygiene, packaging, and customer interaction.

Launch

The truck will begin operations at community events, school fairs, and markets, promoting inclusion and awareness.

Grow & Sustain

Future phases will focus on adding more trucks, expanding menus, and scaling the initiative to other regions.
